The records of Washington includes thousands of years of indigenous American records past Europeans and Americans arrived and began to verify territorial claims. The region was portion of Oregon Territory from 1848 to 1853, after which it was divided from Oregon and conventional as Washington Territory. In 1889, Washington became the 42nd come clean of the United States.
